Dead of Darkness 2 Release Date: What Is Confirmed

Does Dead of Darkness 2 have a release date?

No. As of October 9, 2026 none of the official storefronts publishes a date:

• Steam marks the game “Coming soon” with the date “To be announced”.
• PlayStation Store shows “Release date to be determined”.
• GOG says reviews will open “as soon as the game is released”.

The game was announced on October 7, 2026 at the Horror Game Awards Halloween Showcase, and the announcement coverage from Gematsu and Bloody Disgusting describes the project as “now in development”.

Is there any hint about timing?

Nothing official. The only checkable anchor: the original Dead of Darkness shows a Steam release date of January 23, 2025. Treat any “2027” you see on social media as speculation unless a storefront or the developer states it.

How do I find out the moment a date is announced?

1. Wishlist the game on Steam, GOG or the PlayStation Store. All three notify you when a date or a price is set.
2. Follow the announcement and trailer coverage on the trailer page.
